Spritz is a Boston-based venture in the tech industry (they raised $3.5M) whose SDK promises to evolve reading into the wearable devices century. They released a demo of their technology that purports to help people read text twice as fast as normal. I've been playing around with their SDKs for iOS, which is sure to be fun to use on an iWatch...
But at the core of their tech is a very simple idea, the Optimal Recognition Point - the best point in a word for your eyes to look at. This heuristic is easy to learn and so I was able to code my own version of spritz in a few lines of mathematica code.
